BOCA RATON, FL – Florida Armenians (FLArmenians.com) is proud to present a rare opportunity for a lunch and book presentation with renowned Armenian reporter, independent political analyst and author, Tatul Hakobyan, this coming Tuesday afternoon, July 6th, in Boca Raton, FL.
A graduate of the Yerevan State University Department of Journalism and the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in Tbilisi, Mr. Hakobyan has solidified a long-standing reputation for producing thoughtful and independent content, as well as promoting freedom of speech and expression. Lauded as a specialist in the Karabakh issue and Armenia-Turkey relations for many years, he has formerly worked as a correspondent for the newspapers Ankakhutyun, Yerkir, HETQ, Aztag, The Armenian Reporter, and as a political observer on regional issues on the Radiolur news program of Public Radio of Armenia, as well as Civilitas Foundation/CivilNet online TV.
A recipient of the Haigashen Ouzounian Literary Award, Media Excellence Award, “The Time for Freedom of Press” award, and two-time recipient of the Yerevan Press Club’s Annual Award, Hakobyan has served as a coordinator of the ANI Armenian Research Center since 2014, and he is currently a columnist at Aliq Media.
The “Elections in Armenia: What’s Next” lecture and Q&A session at Abe & Louie’s Boca Raton will be followed by a presentation of the three absorbing and thought-provoking books Hakobyan has authored – Valley of Death, Karabakh Diary: Green and Black, and Armenians and Turks.
Tickets are $20 and include a gourmet lunch and refreshments. All three of Hakobyan’s books, available in either English or Armenian, will be on site for purchase and signature by the author.
