Tatul Hakobyan briefed Canadian Parliamentarians and Senators on Armenia, NK and region

During his visit to Canada, Armenian author and reporter Tatul Hakobyan met Canadian parliamentarians and senators in the parliament building in Ottawa.

Arnold Chan, chair of the Canada-Armenia Friendship Group, organized the briefing that included seven other members of both chambers of parliament, representing the ruling and opposition parties.

Among the topics discussed was the Nagorno Karabakh peace process, Armenia-Turkey relations, Armenia’s domestic and foreign policy issues, relations between Armenia and Russia.

Hakobyan is visiting Canada from May 7 to 15 by AGBU Montreal branch invitation.

In the evening of May 10, Hakobyan delivered lecture on Armenia-Turkey and Karabakh relations in Montreal for Armenian community. The event took place in AGBU Alex Manoogian center. The lecture and Q&A session followed by a presentation of Hakobyan’s two books – “Karabakh Diary: Green and Black”, and “Armenians and Turks”.

From Montreal Hakobyan will travel to Toronto. On Sunday, May 14, at 14 P. M. Hakobyan will deliver lecture on Armenian-Turkish relations, NK peace process and Armenia’s foreign policy in Toronto.

The event, organized by “Armenian Association of Toronto”, will take place in AGBU’s Center.
